Let’s Get to Know Each Other

I’m a Texas native—born in El Paso, lived in Houston, grew up in San Antonio, and spent my final two years in Austin before making the move to Colorado.

Shortly after graduating college, a friend invited me to visit her in Fort Collins while she was completing an internship. That summer, I fell in love with Colorado. Before that trip, I never considered myself much of an outdoorsy person, but after seeing the absolute masterpiece that is the Rocky Mountains, I knew something in me had shifted. In that moment, I made a promise to myself: someday, I would call Colorado home.

So that’s how I ended up in Colorado—but what about wedding photography?

Back in 2019, while I was still living in Texas, I was working as a wedding photographer. One day, out of sheer luck, a friend reached out and asked if I could join her as a second shooter for an intimate destination wedding in Cabo, Mexico. I cleared my schedule immediately.

That wedding changed my life. The pace was slower. The experience felt more intentional. It showed me how different a wedding could be when it was designed around the couple rather than a traditional template. Watching two people celebrate their love in a way that felt deeply personal opened my eyes to what weddings could truly be.

Those two experiences stayed with me. Together, they helped me realize that my dream is to support couples in creating a wedding experience that feels meaningful to them—free from expectations and full of intention. My hope is to help couples stay present, soak in every moment, and celebrate surrounded by love, all while remaining true to who they are in a place that inspires wonder.

I eloped too

Josh and I exchanged vows at sunset on a beach in Maui - just us, our officiant, and some random guy in a speedo that cheered for us as he walked by. We ended the night with a private dinner where we got to deeply connect over starting this new chapter in our lives. The following day we hiked a short trail with our photographer that overlooked the ocean - a site that felt like it needed a dramatic film score to accompany it. I have no regrets to this day and our photos still proudly hang in our living room.

on a more personal note

My ultimate goal is to say that I truly lived. I’ve taken a hot air balloon ride over Mexico, sea kayaked in Costa Rica, sailed in Greece, and I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface. I want to look back at life when I’m old and smile knowing that I really squeezed the juice out of this precious life that I’ve been given. Personally, nothing makes me feel more alive and connected with myself than traveling somewhere new and throwing myself into new experiences.
